  • suitable pantone no. please for an electric blue?

    I’ve been asked to do a van in "Electric Blue" but I’m having trouble visualising the colour.

    Anybody care to give me an approriate Pantone number or suitable vinyl?

    Any guidance much appreciated as I’m suffering from fading brain here. 🙁

    To me, "Electric Blue" is something like the colour of a blue LED or if you’ve seen one, a ’98 onwards VW dashboard. I can’t give you a vinyl name or colour code as I don’t have my swatches in work, they’re outside in my car! I’ll re-post if I get chance to go outside into the pouring rain and get my swatches! Just thought I’d give you an idea of what I think your customer means.

    John – coreldraw has an "electric blue" in the standard CMYK colour pallette…the closest pantone I can find to that is 2995

    Closest vinyls to what I would describe as electric blue would be;

    Oracal 751 086 Brilliant Blue
    Mactac 9839-27 Electric Blue
    Metamark M7-158 Bright Blue

    hope that helps! 😀

    or the colour Ford RS Focus! It’s a deep but lively blue!

    Dunno George.

    I’ll have to take your word for that! 😀

    Is that why you opened this thread? 😀
