    Hi Everyone.

We Use Oracal 3164 for cheap printed stickers, flat pannels etc.

Having seen a job we did after 6 months after fitting, we wanted to get a better vinyl for vehicles. ( It was a simple recess, it lifted quite badley)

So we opted for another Oracal brand, sorry can`t remember the name. It was priced at £170ish.

Tried to order some today and its now gone up to £250!!! According to sales, they sold it at a loss to get the last order!!! I`m sure we have had it several times!

So my question is, what other vinyls would you recomend? And at what price range is it? Its would be required to do simple recesses only, without poping ot again.

    we have a mimaki BTW.

I use Metamark MD5 for my vehicle graphics, probably looking about £150ish for a 1600 roll.

I’ve never had any issues with it, although I’ve not installed it in recesses that I can remember, but over general curves on vans and cars it’s not failed yet.

It also comes with air release, which can help if flood coating a panel.

    Hi David

Do you have to pay extra for air release??

    Yes its not much though.

Its the same film and adhesive just a different release liner that puts the air channels in the adhesive. Best bet is to get a rep out to your place, they do free usable samples too!
