    Hi guys

Just got a epson 1290 printer with a full set of sub ink carts.

Im going to do mainly mugs for the time being, does anyone know how many full and part mug wraps i will get out of a full set on carts, before i pay out for a bulk ink system.

many thanx and hope everyone has a great newyear 😀

    Hi Paulo
The carts in the 1290 don’t hold much ink in comparison to the 980. A bulk system is a neccesity for this printer, especially with sublimation ink prices about to increase substantially in the new year.

    Cheers

    Hi Jim
I heard about a rise in subli ink prices do you know why? 😥
    Thanks Alan

    Hi
It’s all to do with a court case in the US where Sawgrass took on Tropical Graphics who sold Artanium Ink, claiming patent infringement and won. The result being that Tropical now have to pay a hefty liscening fee to Sawgrass on ink sales. As far as I am aware other dye sublimation vendors will have to do the same or face legal action.

    Cheers
    Jim
