Does anyone know where I can get the polystyrene cup boxes for the subli mugs for less than 40p a unit? Ive just been using boxes and loads of bubble wrap but Royal Mail must have recently employed several elephants to work in the sorting office.

Seriously Karl its never been a problem in 7 months and they manage to break 3 in two weeks!!

The thing is, their prices are going up so much that if I post more than 1 mug its cheaper to use a courier and im then insured!

You find they employ many agency staff nowadays mate that don’t care a toss. They just chuck the gear in the van and that’s it. send it by courier if it’s cheaper. have you put a sticker on it saying "Oi! NUMPTY! WATCH MY BLE3DING BOX!" 😮

I wrap the mug in bubble wrap, then wrap the box in bubble wrap, then wrap the bubble wrap in brown paper, then wrap all the brown paper in red and white FRAGILE tape!

What more can I do??? lol!!

Printer Owners Paul. 39p each if buying 100.

I’ve been using 6x6x6 single walled boxes I got from Lime Packaging though. They worked out at 23p each when I bought 100. I bung some of that polystyrene "quavers" shaped stuff in the bottom, mug on top wrapped in bubble wrap then more quavers around the sides and on top. Only one mug smashed in 6 months doing it this way.

I used to send mugs in the polystyrene boxes but had a few breakages. Now use the smash proof cardboard boxes when sending 1 or 2 mugs.

I also find it helps to label them "FRAGILE – POSTMAN, PLEASE THROW UNDERHAND" 😉

    Cheers,
    Justin

Subli Supplies have a cardboard box listed claiming its almost impossible to break the mug when used.

Yeah, they’re the ones. Work really well. Nicer finish than the polystyrene as well.

I had a display case delivered from the Royal Mail, my supplier did not want to post it as they had a few broken, but as I am up here in Scotland and they in Bedford they said that they would, so they put it in a wooden box, wrapped it in bubble, then into a cardboard box with even more bubble and foam,,, and Dumbo took a dislike to it, I got it in two bits

Paul if you don’t get any success with the foam let me know and I will dig out an old invoice for them and pass on the info
