  • Struggling to find glitter vinyl – help!

Posted by Louise Waters on August 5, 2008 at 8:54 pm

Basically we had samples from grafityp for glitter heat transfer vinyl and a customer has seen it and likes it, only trouble is the project they had in mind isn’t on fabric. We don’t want to immediately say no without having an alternative to offer. What we are aiming for is some kind of glittery sticker.

So now we are trying to get prices for glitter vinyl that can be printed on using our versacamm. We’ve no problem finding glitter vinyl to cut but it’s the printing bit we are unsure about – we’ve only been printing a short time and are still trying to get to grips with what we can and can’t print on.

We are going to ring round suppliers in the morning to see what we can get but wondered if we could pick on your experience to point us in the right direction.

Many thanks in anticipation of your help.

Louise Metamark might be able to help you, they definitely do a holographic vinyl and a sparkly frosted glass vinyl, I seem to remember eco sol max inks printing on it ok but youn can confirm that when ordering.

    cheers 😀

    Hi Louise,
Hexis might have what you are looking for in their Speciality Cast range, and are good at sending samples. http://www.hexis.co.uk tel:01543 411221.

    Thanks for the responses.

Hexis were very helpful and have a range of printable glitter samples coming our way – we are confident one of those will fit the criteria.

If not, Ian’s suggestion is our backup plan – either way we should be good to go!

    Cheers guys.

DoroTape do a great range of glitter vinyls. I have printed on to these with my Cadet, but would probably laminate for longer life.

Thanks for that Jason, dorotape’s glitter vinyl looks ideal for what we need.
