😮 Dont you just need Ally panel with channel on the back for post mounting…..would have thought that was right Ashby’s street, or are you after something a little more posh i.e.cast

Try contacting your local councils sign shop (most have them) and I am sure they would be willing to quote you. Otherwise, as Graham says, just use ali panel with channel and a couple of 50mm posts. Try ASD Metal services, branches nationwide.

Hi! NORDIS signs here in Northampton do a lot of street signs and highway signage (motorways etc..) and is Government based for people with disabilities to help them back to the working world with a skill.
No, I have no connection with them!!
Good Luck!

No Ashby do normal road signs but I want street name signs. If you look at one outside they have a perspex face in a black frame with lettering applied to the rear.

I know the ones you mean, we have them around here.

not sure you’ll find a supplier off the shelf, we used to make them, folded galv tray, welded to 50mm posts, powdercoated..panel is antiglare polycarb, with vinyl applied to the rear..fastened in with 15mm ali angle
easy enough to do if you have some time..font is kindersley if you can find it..

Tim has given the right link for this.
We are just making some up now.
Filcris supply all components or will make up the sign ready for fitting.
Essentially we bought some ready pointed black recycled posts and a length of 140mm deep crossbar.
We don’t like the perspex type as water gets behind the front cover and makes a mess. We will fit black Dibod sign panels with rounded corners and white graphics applied. -
Thanks guys I have contacted them all. They should have the letters cut in reverse and mounted to back of the Polycarb and then backed off with white so how can the water get in ?

I think some of the older signs were de-laminating.
Probably better methods now will avoid this.
