on a different note, can we keep this thread going but add commonly used sign words… that way i can add to the dictionary.

    i.e. Spandecks, rinobond, macktack :lol1:

there are quite a few words which the dictionary picks up such as colour, i just ignore them as i know mine is right as the dics replacements don’t look right. as i come across them i will add to this thread.

Nearly as good as the spellchecker in Flexi!

Mind you I am a fine one to talk – cocked up an ali pan, fret cut and backed up with 12″ stainless steel letters last year all for one letter……

Was there one “g” or two in oh bu*#er it?

I have another form of dyslexia.

A couple of days ago we did a van which read (In three lines)

    National
    Printing
    Ink

I was halfway through the second side when Alison berated me for my stupidity. I had put the lettering on in the wrong order and hadn’t even noticed. The side of the van read:-

    Ink
    National
    Printing

If it hadn’t been for Alison I would have given it back to the customer this way 😳

A local competitor recently fitted a sign on a restaurant which reads: “Traditional and Contemporay Cuisine”. It’s been up about 6 months and I think I’m the only one who has noticed it! Half of the country can’t bloody spell nowadays, so it seems any illiterate fool can make signs for a living.

    Motherwelll

Painted on to fresh paint so we had to re-paint the door. 👿 😳

However, i will deny this to the day i die!. 😉

When designing the graphics fo a van about a year ago, the client hadn’t decided on his web address yet.

so, to get on with the layout I put http://www.blablabla.com and carried on with the design.

A couple of days later he call with his web address and I and I changed it on the sides of the van but for some reason forgot about the back.

We cut it, weeded it, applicated it and applied it without noticing.

    He noticed 😳

Don’t think of it as spelling mistakes but as creative writing.
