    Hi

Just setting up me new pc and came across this r.e. application launcher in corel, have corel 12 so maybe x3 & x4 are different.

Wanted to get old signlab 5 and word on the application launcher and looked around; here’s what…..

    1. Run REGEDIT, close all DRAW Suite apps
    2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Corel\AppLauncher
    3. rightclick the empty space in the right pane and Create a new String value
    4. Name it as you like, finish editing (press Enter)
    5. now doubleclick this new value, and paste the full path to your application – probably the easiest way to take the full path is to create a shortcut on desktop to your app, then copy & paste the shortcut’s properties’ target field
application should end in ‘exe’ in case you paste something longer which happened to me at first

Signlab puts an entry in the launcher anyway as CorelDraw to Signlab that said cut and paste does the same thing. Not sure if your method works with X3 or X4 but I would advise backing up the registry before tinkering just in case you ’embarrass’ yourself.

Corel 12 didn’t put signlab 5 in the registry Alan, only things showing were other corel applications.
Appreciate what you say about backing up but this is pretty fool proof, I did it in about 1 minute and being uninterested in pc stuff, if anyone was going to co ck it up it would likely be me …….. :lol1:

Its Signlab that will put an option into Corel’s application launcher. It is certainly there in my version of V12 albeit it launched SL V8, from what I remember it worked with earlier versions of SL too. It may depend in which order programmes were installed. As I said cut and paste effectively does the same thing.
