  • Squeeges that don't 'stick' to application tape….

Posted by Vince.Brown on August 3, 2011 at 9:47 am

    Hello all.
I’m looking to buy some more squeegees for the workshop. Currently, we use
APS Teflon ones for most applications.
They are great for applying application tape but I’m thinking of moving to something a bit more gently for vehicles. Going for a 3M Gold Squeegee. I’m thinking if I use Robert’s Denim tip, these will serve us well.

    Cheers!
    Vince.

Not to worry, all done now. Going with William Smith for the Gold ones.

    Will try the denim trick!

If you are talking about the 3M gold squeegees I think they are really nice.

    Thanks Jill.
They are sort of their ‘own brand’ of 3m. I’ll give them a go and let you know.

    All the best.

Gold 3M squeegees for us and they last ages.
We also use ImagePerfect with a felt type material on one edge which are great and very reasonable.

Replaced my Gold 3M squeegees about 7 years ago when they changed the material they are made from (something to do with being less toxic) and they didn’t last as long.
Have been using white Mactac ever since. Keep them in your back pocket to warm them up for a bit of extra flex.
Also love the blue Hexis squeegee with the red felt edge for vehicle wraps.
