  • Squeegee / Adhesive Marks on glass

    Hi/hello everyone

I’ve always applied window graphics using water but lately I thought about changing the way I do this and do it dry.

I’ve been playing about with this but I always seem to get squeegee / adhesive lines when looking at the adhesive side through the glass.

Now I know these will go but they don’t look great after the job. Do you guys have any tips to get a perfect finish?

What squeegee to use? Is a felt buffer needed?

    Thanks all.

I always try and squeegee lighter as I am heavy handed and this (mostly) does the trick. I use the Avery blue squeegees.

Hopefully some of the other guys will give some other pro tips 8).

I get same issue. Looks awful with vinyl rear mounted on acrylic in a light box. I always do it wet

I think your always going to have this problem when laying dry, thats one of the main reasons of using water. You dont need to lay it "wet" as such, just give it a very light misting and it will stop the marks and be very much like the dry method.
