I thought I would share another illuminated sign project I have been working on. Similar to the previous one I posted but they have become a bit more complex each time. anyway…
We recently completed our third Indoor Cycle Spin Studio since just before lockdown last year. This is the second one and is located in the City Centre of Glasgow. I’ll post pictures of the third once I have some decent pictures.

To be honest, I do not normally take on time-consuming projects like this, but due to Covid, I have been taking whatever comes my way!

    The job consists of :

    NeonFlex Signs.
    Illuminated pan signs.
    Neon Window shapes and lines.
Flat Cut letters with LED-backlit illumination.
    Non-Illuminated foamex lettering
External Window graphics and flood coating.
    Internal Window Etch and graphics.
    Temporary advertising window prints

I have stuck in some before and afters.

I’d love to do more of this kind of signage, but lacking the skills, equipment and time, I have to buy in and that’s often too costly!

    These look great BTW Rob!

Fantastic bit of work there Robert. I especially like the illuminated text in the attached image. Did you use the same flexible LED strips with it and drill the wall behind each letter to run power to them? Now we’ve a cnc the option we can offer are getting wider and more profitable 🙂

19mm PVC foam board with almost flat-flush LEDs surface mounted on the back.
you can also reverse flat cut the letters and router out a small channel in the letter to insert the LEDs so they are completely invisible. Only for interior use though.
yes, with these ones, there is approximately 3m of cable on each letter. fed through the wall and taken up the cavity and connected above the suspended ceiling into the driver, then to the main.
