Spandex – Fuel Surcharge.
Posted by Chris Dowd on April 16, 2009 at 10:38 amJust noticed we are still getting £1.39 Fuel Surcharge added to every invoice from Spandex (on top of the delivery charge), this is our only supplier still doing this.
Have spoken to Spandex, who’s answer was that they were not aware other suppliers had dropped it, no offer to review it.
Anyone else still getting this from Spandex?

My suggestion is to tell them to stick it up their ar*e they are rob dogs anyway. I would give up the trade rather than line their pockets

Aw, come on Peter.
Why don’t you get off the fence and tell us what you really think. 😀

yep they are still doing this in Australia as well.
They would be the most difficult company to spend money with. We bought 1 of our plotters from them and despite the fact they had our money they would not dispatch machine unless I signed and forwarded a written purchase order in addition to my first order plus did I say they had the blo@dy money, don’t return emails or phonecalls and charge $180.00 /hour plus $120.00 /hour travel all plus GST.
ah feel better know (hot) -
Oracal (AGS) do it still too. It annoys me because its not explained anywhere what it covers.
If I put a fuel surcharge on my deliveru bill, I know I’d not be popular.
Mike, Spandex are cheap. AGS charge $250 call out and $150 per hour.

Now now spandex don’t even charge me a delivery fee.
Did I mention they are next door?

AGS gives free delivery if your order is over $500 and a 3% discount if you order from their website.

You are right Heng. I also rec’d a delivery yesterday, and no fuel surcharge was applied, so its obviously been removed.
My apologies to Oracal (AGS) 😳
