I’ve got 75 today, but the address they have sent them from is my own 😮 hows that work. Its says its from Fritz Frederick, but when you hover over the name, mine address comes up…

These guys are parasites, surely someone can come up with a way to trace these morons. All the billions that Microsoft make, and they cant trace these mongrels back?

Spamfighter is very good, but it lets my address through of course, and I can’t black list it because it will be added to the international black list database, which I suggest is their plan….

I still get 30-40 per day, but the spam filter on 1 and 1 gets 95% of them. I have had my addresses "Spoofed" a couple of times where I end up with 2-300 mails bounce back, fortunately it only lasted a couple of days each time………be patient

Out all day yesterday, I had about 320 all from a ‘postmaster, undeliverable mail’ and all received between about 4 and 6 o’clock in the evening. Nothing much today maybe 8 – 10.
Does it make a difference who is the ISP? Earlier this year Tiscali, who I’m with, had a complete server breakdown which lasted the better part of four days, sent email didn’t go anywhere and incoming mail fell into a ‘black hole’. Before that happened I was receiving upwards of 40-50 bits of spam a day, when the service was restored the spam reduced to the current level of rarely more than a dozen in 24 hours.

believe it or not, i get virtually no spam. yes my spam folder catches allot, but i dont get any of the junk in my inbox. i think this is because the mail that is sent to me has to go through two servers. first the emails go through uksignboards.com servers which has spam and virus filters, from there the emails get forwarded to my bt account but even then the mail has to go through BT/yahoo spam and virus filters before it actually gets to me. so all in all, i do pretty good out of it.
the down side for me is that BT has just upgraded their spam servers and allot of internal "uksb" emails land in the bt spam folder. apparently this is a big issue for BT just now and streams of complaints have been getting posted on their sites because the servers are randomly binning legit emails. i hope its sorted soon because i have to make a point every few days to check the spam folder for lost mail. 🙄

I get a lot of spam but 99.9% of it is caught by the spam filter on Yahoo. But it does also catch some legit emails too, so I check daily just to see if I reconigse any names and then empty it daily.

The spam doesn’t take any of my inbox space so I’m ok. Similar with my Hotmail account too, loads of spam. Seems to be luck of the draw if its caught or not on the hotmail servers tho.

I use a gmail account for business but it is all on forwarders so nobody know (well anybody who reads this will now 😕 ) Gmail can be used as a pop account so one gmail account can catch all emails and I really like the archiving system it uses.

If anybody needs an invite to google just let me know 😉

    Cheers
