    Hi guys. Was printing some black and noticed the gandong was quite bad. Done a manual clean then checked the test print which showed all the colours were goid except the black. Then dobe a powerful clean and still showing up as in the attached. It prints not to bad on a max impact setting in versaworks rip. Any advice please. I am hoping its not the head thats gone….. image

    Hi Jonathan

    You could try a "nozzle wash"
    If you disconnect the black cap line where it connects to the pump line, fold over the end and tape it, so as to stop the flow of liquid from running out. Fill the cap with maintenance solution.
    Return the head to the cap position and turn off the main switch to the printer over night.
    This could help recover some of the deflected nozzles.
    Although it does look suspiciously like the head has come to the end of its life expectancy.
