Before I can print any jobs I’ve got to hit the return button on my printer to get rid of the message saying "replace sponge"

It’s due a service but is there anyway to clear this message for now so I can print today without the button pressing every 2 minutes lol

Not sure if this will clear it or not John, but try going through the manual cleaning procedure

    1/Power off
2/ Press cleaning and power on buttons together
3/The message "Maintenance Cleaning" will display – Press Enter
4/The message remove maintenance covers will display – remove the left hand plastic covers held in place with the thumb wheel fixings – press enter
5/The message "Finished cleaning" will display – Press Enter
6/ The machine will go through a short cleaning cycle the return to normal
7/ Refit the Plastic cover removed earlier

I think this might fool the machine into thinking the sponges had been replaced – worth a try?

    Hi John,

What Phil has said will clear ‘Time for maintenance’ or if you choose ‘replace Wiper’ instead it will clear the ‘replace Wiper’ msg. – Good info to have!

To clear the ‘Replace Sponge’ msg you will need to go into service mode and do the following:

    1. Menu
    2. Right arrow into Service
    3. Scroll down to History
    4. Right arrow into Maintenance Group
    5. Right arrow into Count
    6. Right arrow to Clear and enter.

If your not sure on the Service Mode key sequence please let me know….

    I hope this helps.

    Justin

Just reset from Service Menu – History Menu – Maintenance Group – Clear All + Enter.
    Restart the machine.

    Good luck!
