I printed a job of today, normally i get the odd bit of droplets on the odd job but this morning it was major

    I’ve attached a jpeg

Anyone any ideas? I’ll get an engineer out asap but is it a major problem or a minor one?

Is the mist sponge ok. I’ve had similar problem before caused by the sponge not absorbing the ink.

I meant clean the heads with a swab and cleaning fluid……the ink builds up around the edges of each head (each time the wiper cleans the face of the head) and should be cleaned manually weekly at least…..some do it more often some less depending on the amount of use the machine gets.

I would try this before calling an engineer…..only takes 10 minutes or so.

    Thats the one!!

You get fluff stuck to the sides of the head. This collects ink, and the next thing you know is this "wick" leaving it’s mark all over the show.

(Wont say this loud, but I use this "feature" as a sort of Auto Diagnostic tool to tell me when to do a manual clean 😳 )
