now back to how easy it is. yes! very easy, but. its all about even pressure.
look at the one you have posted. it looks like a paint roller with a very uncomfortable handle. think about trying to cover a 18 wheel hard side lorry with that. you would have blisters in about 20 mins.
also the handle pressure would all be at one side. you need the handle to be in the middle with brackets to each side giving pressure across the lentgh of the roller.
anyway im not great as you all may know at explaining things so heres a pic. hope it helps with my explanation… 😆

Bought a 5" roller same as robs in newcastle at Details art store in Westgate Rd on Saturday cost £5.25p. They are in the Newcastle Yellow Pages.. Works great. Brian 🙂

you probably can get them at most art stores.

x-film have a uk brach also. not sure the number though. ide expect it to found somewhere on there website.
they stock upto about 13 inch wide rollers. but unlike the DIY stores they can be expensive.

Just to let everyone know, I’ve got one!!!!!!!! 😀 (roller i mean!)

£5.25 for a 6 incher, not bad that. My local art shop was very obliging and I also managed to get an x-acto knife (again something I’ve been after for a while)

I’ve had mine for a couple of weeks now and used it on almost everything:

Applying app. tape (similar to your method but only do it with 6" tape, and replace the 2nd roll with the squeegie and push, couldn’t be easier!)

I used it on a 450mm x 600mm sign I did yesterday (the sign had loads of tiny 12mm lettering) and it worked a dream, I wasn’t too sure how it would cope……..but I’m prepared to stick my neck out on the line here and say it did a nicer job than a regular blade squeegie.

Treat yourself to one gray, it’ll be well worth the £6 it’ll cost you (sorry dollars down there init)
