    hi all
i just thought i wouild post some pics of my brother jims work.
hes a scottish artist that has become a very big name in the art world. (not and name that you and i would know of course 😉 )
anyway ill post some pics and if you would like to see anything else he does , just do a search in google for "jim lambie"

the job shown here is done in multi-coloured individual plotter cut lines in mirror vinyl. /polyester film supplied by coburn in the states.
he has also done loads of the same idea across the globe varying the idea a little. using flourescent vinyl, normal coloured vinyls, mono-chrome etc
see what you think! this floor was in a gallery in dusseldorf & took a team of 4 a total of 4 days to complete. each line (colour) is laid one at a time.
thickest line is 1.5 inch thinest .25 inch

nop there was no coating to the floor before hand nor after the vinyl was applied. the exhibitions only lasted a few days a week or 2 tops. they had a whole load spare cut incase any dog eared. if it did they sorted it each night before the doors open.

he has sold about 40 of these floors to galleris and collectors all over. in just 2 years.
