    Hello all,
We’ve been running a Mimaki JV33 for just over 10yrs now.
It’s always been a great workhorse and rarely let me down.

The only thing I’m missing I feel is a quicker drying time and more robust print for unlaminated jobs such as pull up banners and regular pvc banners.
As you all know no doubt, when there’s heavy ink coverage the drying time on a banner is overnight+ ideally but I find they can still be easily marked when making them up.

I’m thinking the next move could be Latex and therefore improve production time which in turn could up sales.

    What are your thoughts?
    Cheers!

I’ve just moved away from latex to the Epson S80600. Given the choice again, I do exactly the same again! Print quality from the machine is far, far superior to the latex machines, I’ve compared the 2 side by side.

Banners & roll ups etc can pretty much be worked on straight away! The official guidance is 4-6 hours to outgas for laminate, although I’ve laminated plenty of stuff straight away for flat panels!

Would highly recommend this machine! (Comes with the added bonus of white & metallic inks)

Depends on what your doing. Bought a HP Latex last year very happy with it. Great for wraps. Prints would be slightly duller than Solvent but never had any complaints. Looked at the Epson printer as well fine machine but the vinyl companies won’t support there drying times so no warranty on printed wraps.

+ 1 for the S80600. We upgraded from a Mutoh ValueJet and is one of the best decisions I have made. Faster, better quality and white ink option [emoji106]

In the same position with a JV33, have looked at the options and I also agree the new Epson’s are the pick of the crop right now.

Been dealing with SEDO who are very helpful and arranged a demo at Epson HQ
