  • Software to telephone from computer.

Posted by Earl Smith on April 12, 2010 at 10:50 am

I am looking for a program that will let me ring a telephone from my computer. Via the Internet maybe?? And to keep ringing the same number over and over again .
Why?? I have done some work for a customer and he has not paid. I ring and he does not answer. He has to have his phone ( mobile ) switched on all the time to communicate with his other customers. So, if I can bombard him by constantly ringing him I hope he will get the message that I want paying. If I am "blocking" his mobile then he cant work either.
    Any ideas??

Old PC with a modem. FAX dialer software set to redial.

Won’t care what’s at the end of it…but you’ll be paying a connection fee every time.

or turn off caller ID on your phone

…and probably super illegal as probably seen as a denial of service attack or similar.

I was once a bit abrupt to an unsolicited sales caller. After hanging up I discovered the caller hadn’t hung up on his end which meant my line remained engaged indefinitely until he eventually relented and hung up on his end. Absolutely infuriating.

Now if you did the same thing – maybe when your call time is free…….

Once i advertised my mate as a ladyboy escort on the internet just to wind him up. You could try that, it might not get you your money back but he will probably get a flood of strange callers. :lol1:

It’s even possible that this person has blocked your number altogether. Your calls might not be going through anyway. Sometimes just a letter from a lawyer threatening suit can get people moving though. I’ve had a few friends that that was all it took to let someone know that ignoring a debt isn’t going to work.

OK! For me the short end of a very long story was that a chap we shall call him that for the sake of me getting banned of off this group,

Owed me a few hundred £££ quite a few actually several of them to be honest,
Anyways after a few weeks of calling and getting nowhere my calls started to go blank on his number,

So I had two choices 1. forget about it,(Yeah Right) or 2 get my money by any means necessary,
    Option 2 is this!

Find out as much about the guy as you possibly can you may have to become a detective, I did.

    Check out, Past address’s
    Where his home address is,
His parents and in-laws address if he as any,

Anywhere you think that you can find an address for him, bank account local bank details the lot,
Once you enough information on him send him a nice registered Post letter also email and text and mms message telling him that all of the address’s you have on record for him,

And list them on the letter.

Can expect a visit from the local debt collectors or bailiffs with regards to the outstanding debt,

And that he as 48 hours from the date of the letter to make payment in full in cash, money order IE postal orders or paypal. Believe me the last thing he wants is his dear old Mum getting the bailiffs around her door or the In-laws know that he owes money,The "Ahem" collectors are allowed to mention that the call is with regards to an unpaid debt. and that they may call several times to make sure he’s home..

This as worked every time for me and I have had to do it 4 times up til now,
It as never ever got to the part of anyone knocking on someones door…

    Yeah I know I’m a bad boy 👿

    Thanks for your thoughts.
I have started legal proceedings already. I just annoys me that he and his firm can carry on working with my money. So why not annoy him too.
The guy is a rep for a large nation wide firm who owe the money, they should be getting the forms from the court soon. Lets see what happens. I am in a foreign land with different laws.

Make sure you hit his firm for all court and out of court expenses.

go to small claims online and get him that way.

Its a major offence in th uk to deliberately sabotage someones rights to work ie blocking phone lines. Not worth the agro and the fine is probablly much larger than what he owes you.

As I started this thread I thought Id keep you up to date. 90% has been paid , that was all on one invoice. No court , only a reminder. The last 10% is on another invoice and seems to have been lost. Even the copies I send get lost too. Its a very large multi national firm and invoices have to be passed from one to another to be signed off to be paid. Very strange. But all is not lost. Last week the sales man from the firm came in with some more work , polos, dungarees, and aprons to be embroidered. So now I have more than the 10% they owe me and they are not getting that back til they pay me everything.
And the salesman has invited me to his birthday barbecue this Saturday.
