I took these pics in South Africa in April 1987. This is the genuine ‘copter used in the program. It was bought by a South African and was used to promote a local supermarket “Checkers” until the copywrite bandits spoiled it all. Was glad I got a good close up of it before then. Stood about 20ft away from it.

    and… Bucky o’hare!.
    thundercats!.
    umm…
    Other stuff!

Getting closeups on the eighties mobiles seems to be coming back in fashion, I went up to Keswick with Minime to have a sit in Kit from Knightrider, and spy the A-Team van. Unfortunately the rules were you couldn’t sit in the vehicles or go within 3 feet of them…. 🙄 I didn’t, honest, I didn’t 🙄

I spent an hour or so last night trying to lookup some TV listings for StreetHawk, but bar from a few net listings here and there, it seems to have all but disappeared. Airwolf is being aired this summer I think, as it is virtually every year on the cable channels. Knightrider is on Bravo every other day, with David looking camper than ever and strutting like a BeeGee, and the A-Team, no doubt making its yearly comeback on UKGold 😀

Wonder if they’ll rerun Circuit Man? :lol1: Now that was class, a computer that could become a car, a man or a bolt of light 😀

my cousin, for some crazy reason or other, remembers a show called

    …wait for it

    “the electric grandmother”.

I personally refuse to believe something so inane could actually be the work of human hands,. but you never know.

Could have been those crazy scotsmen with their “SuperGran” :lol1:

    Oh my… 😳 😳

Stand back Superman, Iceman, Spiderman, Batman Robin too,
Don’t wanna cause a ruckus with B A Barracus have I got a match for you,
She makes them look like a bunch of fairies,
Got more bottle than united dairies,
Hang about, look out for SuperGran.

    😳 😳

wow, no, it’s apparently not supergran.

    hmm, research must commence.

and I thought I was sad knowing the whole theme-song to bucky o’hare, and singing it in a beastie boy’s stylee.

oh wait.. that is still really sad.

Sadness is knowing the entire lyrics to “The Greatest American Hero”, the series about the average bloke who finds a suit, puts it on and becomes a superhero 🙄 It was classic stuff in its time, honest! 😀

    Oh yeah and…..

Look at what’s happened to me,
    I can’t believe it myself.
Suddenly I’m up on top of the world,
    It should’ve been somebody else.

    Believe it or not,
    I’m walking on air.
I never thought I could feel so free eee eee.
Flying away on a wing and a prayer.
    Who could it be?
Believe it or not it’s just me.

It’s like a light of a new day,
It came from out of the blue.
Breaking me out of the spell I was in,
Making all of my wishes come true ue ue.

    Believe it or not,
    I’m walking on air.
I never thought I could feel so free eee eee.
Flying away on a wing and a prayer.
    Who could it be?
Believe it or not it’s just me.

    <thats the lyrics to it 🙄 😕 😳 😳

    the littlest hobo!,

that was great. and ulysees, and cities of gold, dogtanian…

sorry for that interjection, theme-songs are a big point of contention in my family, my brothers once won a pub quiz solely on old themes.

plus I can’t remember most of these shows, it makes me feel young 😀 and also kinda deprived.

Sorry guys, I am severely hung-over today so I can’t join in the fun. 😥
I’m still trying to find out why my neck hurts and I have a lump on the back of my head.
I’m back off to bed to finish watching the Miami Vice marathon. :lol1:

Imagine in years to come when there are reruns of…..

In 2002 a team of hardened signmakers were sent to SignUK for a crime they didn’t commit. After spending a fortune at the bar, they managed to escape the NEC carpark. Now they hire themselves out as signmakers of fortune, if you can find them, if you’ve got a shed load of cash and if you can get access to UKSignboards, you could hire…..

The Sign Team!!!!! *cue the machine gun fire and music*

    From left to right…..

    Nigel “The Face” Fraser
    Singhing Mad John
    John “Hannibal” Childs
    and B.A. Broughton

    😳 😳 Moment of madness :lol1:

Good one Dewi, I think you should present it to the studios. I think a full length feature film should be first, then make it into a series.
