    Hello all,

Looks like I am going to be asking for a lot of help in the next few weeks sorry about that.

Please could someone help me with a price you would charge for the sign attached.

I know the price of the front printed just need a price on what you would charge for the hardware and fitting.

Getting orders now for work I have never done.

    Size is 1 m x 30 cm

    Thanks for your help

    Ian

Get the price from the likes of Ashbys or Blackburns and add your mark up
I charge 1hr per hole (win some and lose some depending on how hard it is to dig) and half to one hour to fit and finish depending on size
    plus travel
    plus graphics

you’ll be amazed how many people decide to dig their own holes when you tell em it’s gonna be £25-30ph for you to do it!

I must have lazy customers (or rich :lol1: ) I wish I could get somebody to dig my holes for me, although I actually enjoy it as it’s something different ….

… except on cold days, rainy days, hot days, damp days, cool days ….

and when there are rocks in the ground, paved over, an old tree stump …… 🙄

    Hi,

I have prices from Ashby an w smith and was going to just double the price of the of the sign plus £15 fitting? does this sound OK.

It will be an ongoing contract for the roundabouts in my area 2 to 4 per roundabout.,

    Thanks

    Ian

I tend to add 50-100% on hardware and then an hourly rate to fit.

If you’re lucky it’s be nice topsoil on top, if unlucky it’ll be a skim of soil on top of road building rubble and waste, it usually takes longer to dig a hole than one plans, if full of rubble it can take a while!

Maybe specify 30min to install each sign, if any problems you’ll charge at £15 per half hour. You’ll kick yourself if you’re on your hands n knees digging out rubble for an hour for £15 – what about removing additional waste? If its soil you can spread it about but you cant do that with rubble.

Don’t mean to sound negative but these things need considering!

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply, signs are to be installed on roundabouts.

How deep would you fit them into the ground?

    Thanks

    Ian
