I have until now always used the same trade supplier for all my digital print work but they have recently introduced a surcharge of £10 for orders on less than 2.5 square metres, when you add this to the £10 carriage they charge it makes a small job very expensive and sometimes we lose the work because of this. How do you guys overcome this problem??

Depends on what your paying per square metre really, it can take almost as long to set up a small job as it can to set up a large job (ok, it doesn’t take so long to print).

At the end of the day, if your happy with the quality and service, pass it onto your customer!

I am currently paying £36 per square metre for self adhesive vinyl work. I am starting to think I should not be as concious of winning this kind of work as it ain`t possible to be all things to all men ….. but me being greedy I want it all and besides from small acorns grow large trees

Maybe I should just bite the bullet and buy a printer of my own and then I can target that kind of work instead of just fall upon it as I do now.

Is it worth considering buying used tho??
