    I am sure you guys have probably seen this already – but maybe worth posting. As they say every little helps. 😀

    “As of 1 April 2005, small businesses will be allowed to claim a new form of rate relief, subject to certain conditions being met.

    Small businesses may be able to claim up to 50% relief on their business rates if they occupy only one property in England that has a rateable value of 5,000 or less. With a rateable value of up to £10,000 it is reduced by 1% per £100.

    i nearly lost my 50% deduction cos they sent a questionare which i filled in to claim then sat back to await my discount another letter arrived which i did not see at first but basically said – do you realy want to claim you rebate if so sign here – the panic was on where is this letter – any way got it in the end about the only time i have said thank you Mr brown.
