its a safety sign about 6×3 or 8×5 can stand landscape or portrait.
has site name on it. details of the operators normaly, agents running the site etc (those parts are about .75 inches)
it will also list all the PPE that must be used by anyone entering the site.
i.s. hard hat sign, goggles sign, work boots, gloves, ear protection etc etc
the site foreman should know the neccessary PPE to be used on site along with the operators of the site..

basicaly the signs a health a safety board. it shows all the health and safety signs that should be followed for people entering the site.
it lists all contact details for the likes of police incase of emergency and the like..

we do tons of this type of work. normaly they are made from 2mm alluminium with sign channel on rear and fixed to steal poles (plastic coated road sign poles) by sign clips. concreted into ground about 24″ down or fastened to a fence if it exists.

best thing to do is always make these signs well… never skrimp on them. health and safety will use you time and time again if you give what they want.

one thing to ask them though is do they want the PPE on it?
some of the older signs basicaly have the site name, contractors details, opening times etc (NO PPE) these are normaly old site entrance signs. so if they are just wanting that replaced then you better check.
normally if a site wanst that type of sign, they have a large PPE one on the opposite side of the entrance or to the side of that sign.
again, just ask what they prefer, health and safety are very strict with these companies so dont leave yourself in the position of blame because a site foreman wanst to skrimp on costs. give him options let him decided and get a signature ofn layout.
also… it maybe an idea to offer a reflective option. same sign but in reflective. obviosly costs will escalate…
