    Amen to that…I had the pleasure of meeting him when he was manager of Ipswich Town…what you saw was what you got (pity a few more in that profession couldn’t take a leaf out of his book)

    I was at his charity game last Sunday……..I cried like a baby when he was wheeled out to meet the players.

    Great footballer, great manager, great man

    The North East and the footballing world in general have lost one of the best

    Those pics were taken at 10 this morning and when I left the town at half 3 they were queuing right round the ground to get in

    They are keeping the ground open all week this week so I think it will be a pretty amazing sight

    I’m not a footy fan but i appreciate how dedicated this man was to the game
    and how passionate he was in helping the cancer charities.God Bless
