    Hi
I have just finished signwriting two containers by hand
They had been bought second hand and sprayed with resene lumbersider and the vinyl was reluctant to stick to the paint.
There was no option but to write them.
They were fun to do and they turned out well.
It was less expensive than using vinyl.
The paint was a sixth of the price of the cast vinyl I was aiming to use and they took a day and a half per side.
And they now have some "Character".

    Simon.

    Simon
they look excellent and from the photos you would be hard pressed to know it wasnt vinyl. It must be nice to have the ability to solve a problem by using a skill that many signmakers, myself one of them don’t have.

    Excellent work

    Thanks guys.
I used the same paint as the container was sprayed with.
    Resene lumbersider.
Its a water based paint made in New Zealand.
Although the paint is good, everything still had to have two coats.
I havent seen One-shot in a long time, John.

A cracking good job there Simon. I never did enjoy writing on corrugated surfaces unless they were fairly shallow.

Yeah Neil. It certainly slows things down – you have to rearrange your brush hand and mahl stick
and start a new stroke for each change in pitch.

It’s the same with new shop shutters
    They are a nightmare! :yikes:
The old shutters were relatively flat
