    Hello

This is a question thats been troubling me for a little while as our versacamm is due to arrive in Jan and I’m really not sure which software to settle on for artwork production/amends. I used Photoshop daily (not very well I should add) but am familiar with Illustrator & InDesign to some degree. I haven’t used CorelDraw in 15 years and never used Signlab.

Having looked at some Signlab demo vids on Youtube it seems to be much simpler to use than Corel/Adobe so I’m now wondering if this is the right package to go for. I am happy to buy all the software if we need it but dont want waste money on something we wont use. I can imagine that each package has its pro’s & cons.

Any advice would be appreciated, I just want to get us up and running in the New Year as soon as possible with the right tools.

    Thanks

    Stu

we all go back to the tools that we learnt on the most.. I am now illustrator user but I use Corel to design with as it is natural.

SignLab, some here use it as it is geared towards sign making design but I never try and learn it, my skills are with the software you know.

Stuart, I’m guessing you aren’t a signmaker if you don’t already have a vector based program. I would agree with Chris in that you would be better sticking with software that you already know how to use.
Plenty of people on the forum already use P.S & illustrator & that will save you having to learn how to use a new software package as well as get to grips with the printer.
