I’m using sign lab 7. but it have never been able to get the print and cut function working. It’s never been a problem till now.
I have been using Roland’s color rip as i have an old cadet which could not be upgraded to a versacamm so no versaworks for me.
the problem is i have an image that in photo shop has a transparent background. but when i import the image to Sign lab it fills the transparent background this is creating problem when i create a bleed line and a cut line around the odd shape of the image when exported to illustrator. is there any type of format that will let me import an image into
    signlab but preserver the transparancy
    thanks
    jason

Are you sure its just not a clipped background you see try ungrouping and deleting the back bit then tell signlab to contour cut the image and it should put a contour on to the image. Make sure you tick the inside/outside box on the toolbar before doing the contour cut a slider will appear with a scale going from black to white just say OK without moving it and it should contour cut your bitmap inside the transparent part.

when the image is in sign lab I’m clicking the image so the edit boxes appear in the corners. i then go to the group and un group option and they are not active for uses on this image.
