  • Signblazer Pro Software help needed please?

    Hi,

    Just wondering if anyone can help me. I have been using Signblazer Pro 5.5 for about 6 years now, but for the last 6 months have been migrating to new software because of the loss of the guy who ran Signblazer.

    A lot of my existing customer files in in Blazer format. Here’s the problem. Signblazer has just suddenly decided to stop working. I have done a complete computer format and fresh install of the software but it still fails to work. I think the problem is that the software in the security dongle has gone wrong. Obviously software manufacturers can’t help as they are no longer around, and the retailer who I originally bought the software from can’t help either.

    Has anyone else who uses Signblazer experienced this?

    I know nothing about Signblazer software, but we have Troop RIP which is a modified version of Flexisign to run our Grenadeir/Soljet printer and was re-branded under the B&P Lightbrigades UNIFORM range. It runs only one of our machines and still runs perfect, BUT we cannot upgrade our version of windows on that one computer because it is NOT compatible with that platform version.

    "if nothing else works" you might want to try installing an older version of Windows. or just reinstall the version you have now but when it asks to update once connected to the internet, just decline permanently.

    It’s not to do with the version of windows though, because I am still using it on the same machine with the same version of Windows as I’ve always had. All my new software is all on a new computer, as I have been trying to gradually migrate from Signblazer over the last 6 months.

    You may have a point about Windows update though, maybe one of the Windows updates has caused the Software on the dongle to have a conflict with it.

    Maybe I’ll try another complete format and fresh install.

    I use Signblazer as well.
    If there is anyway I can help: export files to PDF to EPS or something… let me know…..

    Forgot to mention that I did encounter problems with it on the new office computer (with windows 7).. After an update it kept telling me that the software key (dongel) could not be found…. Never looked into it really as that computer moved and I use my laptop or old XP computer for cutting……. 🙄
