I just saw these today – A brilliant set of adverts, my family think they’re hilarious.

For anyone who hasn’t seen these yet, the first ad reads as follows:-

    [c]”daddy is a signmaker”[/c]
[c]I don’t really think he notices me these days!
He never shows me he loves me anymore.

Always chatting to the lads online.
    Reading their funny comments,
sharing tips & tricks & admiring the signs galleries.
    He just sits there,
night after night browsing thousands of pages of signwork & demonstrations.
Now that the site has opened an “online shop” I’ll never get any time with him.

Tonight I asked him, “What’s for tea dad?
    He replied, “ask mum”
Little does he know, mum left 3 weeks ago….[/c]

    Brilliant Rob ๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿ˜†[c][/c]

Thanks for the thumbs up guys! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Itโ€™s hard to try and come up with one of these things never mind 3.. I had thought of several approaches to the adds and this was my final..

Flicking through old copies of the mags. I thought, everyone is competing with the next guy to have the most vibrant and fancy of ads.. So to be a little different I thought ill go back to boring black and white, use a theme a little close to homeโ€ฆ and hopefully it will stand out.

After i received a few e-mails this afternoon saying they thought it was different and that they liked it.. I was please I did.. ๐Ÿ™‚

Now all I have to do is get the wife to come back! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ ๐Ÿ˜†

That has rung some home truth bells in my house. (hot)

I spend far to much time staring at this ruddy screen than is healthy for my marriage. But we all like to push the envelope a bit. ๐Ÿ˜•
I have just seen the ads 10 mins before getting on here.
    Brilliant!

Robert if you manage to find your wife could you let me know where, my wife might be at the same place !!!
Strangly enough a couple of years ago when I started my youngest daughter turned round to me after a few weeks and said ” daddy I don’t like you working anymore”. Made me realise I had to make more of an effort to spend some time with her.

Well done Rob I think the way you used humour is a great way to invite people into a frendly, fun but most of all educational web sight and i wish you every success with your campaign.

PS If you track down the misses and she comes back will you be making her range of vinyl equipment available in the shop. As my misses might get a bit more attention if she got herself a new wrap like that.

I have received some e-mail from a few friends/visitors of the site giving me a cyber pat on the back for the 3 adverts I recently put together. They also said that I should post them on the boards. Well thanks for the e-mails folks ๐Ÿ˜‰ and here they are for those who didnโ€™t see them in the magazines.
    Hope you likeโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ˜• ๐Ÿ˜‰

    mmmmmmmmm

I think your being a wee bit sexist, there are plenty of female signmakers out there and the impression i get from the adverts is that its a site for male signmakers only.

Will the next lot of ads be from the female point of view????

    Hi Lorraine
Yes your probably right.. Sorry. No offence meant by it.. ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜€
At the end of the day itโ€™s just down to the majority of readers of the magazines.
Males would obviously outweigh female readers by far. So that is whom I have targeted!
Take this site. From 430 registered only about 8 are females. We are all equal yes! And females are just as good at sign making as males.. Probably better in some areas..
But I donโ€™t see it good business sense to target vice versa.. Would you?
Yes.. I could have tried not to go down this route at all.. But I wanted something we all, well most of us can relate to.. Hence, why I said โ€œsomething a little closer to homeโ€
Canโ€™t say my wife liked what I had come up with.. But she did think it was a good idea & pretty humorous once the swelling went down on my eye. ๐Ÿ˜• ๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿ˜†
