Hi, took this quick shot on the phone camera, so its not too good im afraid. Have to get back with the EOS and get some better shots once that skip is out the way and we get a nice sunny day,,, thatll be next year then, lol.

this is a 5.5m sign tray supplied by ashby, 50mm returns, powder coated black. hexis suptac vinyl, in charcoal metallic and red, and hexis outdoor durable 5 year chrome for the "daleik"

A special thanks to Hugh Potter on this one, without him itd still be in the workshop, cheers mate.

Also took your advice guys, and hired a tower, so i got a shopping list for the new year now, trestles, boards, and a tower. Made it so much easier than if i used the van/ ladders etc.

it was advised to change font, but he likes it so much, he didnt want to budge on it. so it had to stay, i have altered it slightly from original "kefka" font , to make it more ledgeable. at first the d and the a were almost identical.

    Hey Matt,

looks a whole lot better now it’s been painted around the sign! that was certainly a heavy tray too, much heavier than a dibond equivelant,

re; legibility, reads ok to me, but i guess i know what it says!

    good job dude.

have to agree also, font looks like its not inline either….i dont know the font so i might be wrong 😕

apart from that the colours in the sign do look very eyecatching 😉

Hideous font still like I said 2 months ago, hard to read and will probably hurt birds legs when they land on it. RSPCA writ incoming!
some people cannot be told, You however have done a very nice job.
    Love the matching Skip.

that skip took hours to get right 😛
still not sure about the stencilled font on it. haha

re the font, i put a straight line under before i cut, as it is a bitup and down, so it is spot on level with edges of tray.

thanks for your comments guys, yes was a very heavy tray.

Definitely a learning curve for me, and im glad we did it, and im glad its out the way so next time i can do it differently with the knowledge ive gained. I am proud of it though,

does look better with some paint around it, although its not the same shade as rest of shop, hes going to have the whole shop front repainted in new year, so its all freshened up, remove the dodgy wiring for the protruding lightbox, and get it working too, will post some photos of that when its lit up. that should look quite effective too.

    cheers matt
