    Hi every peeps,
my customer is looking for some sort of ‘goal post’ signage to go completely around an exterior door to cover up some pretty shoddy brickwork. 2 to 3 feet to each side and about 12 inch over the top.
I was thinking of some sort of pan sign…can they be made like this? is there some sort of ‘buffer’ which would disguise the space between sign and wall round the sides?…….
does anyone have a clue what I mean and any advice….know suppliers of this sort of stuff……
how do I leave pics in this forum????
thanks for the use of your experience.
    Cxx

If I’ve understood what you’ve asked????……I would use Diabond panels with 10mm foamex strips around the edge to form a 10mm return. Bit dodgy though if the brickwork’s had it or not straight.

Kwik fit used to do the very same thing years ago.
It was made up of steel frame work fixed to the walls either side of the door way then ali pans attached, with built up letters neon etc, looked very smart..
Really depends on how much they want to spend..
As John said get a chippie, to knock up some stud work and clad it in marine ply, paint and then apply the sign

Chippie needs to do what we call ‘scribe and cut’ the plywood return to fit the imperfections of the wall.

Happy birthday Harry and thanks for posting that link about scribing.

That will come in useful for some of the crooked stuff I have to fit for.
