  • Sign Industry Awards – Entry Deadline Extended

For anyone interested in putting their work forward, please see below.

I realise the closing date is Friday midnight, but I am sure if you get your entries in over the weekend, they "might" still be considered as i don’t expect them to be dealt with until Monday morning. 😉 i am only suggesting this dont quote me! :smiles:

If anyone is planning on going to the awards, let me know also as i will be there and its always good to have a catch up and a drink!
There was a full table of us UKSG members at the awards one year, with a few of us shortlisted in different catagories. Our very own Cheryl Smith of GoGirl Signs won small sign maker of the year that night. So you can imagine we where all a tad tipsy by the end of the night celebrating!

Its the old saying, "you have to be in it to win it!"

Sign Industry Awards Entry Deadline Extended

The deadline for entry to this year’s British Sign Awards has been extended to Friday, September
    15th .

“We have been asked by a number of businesses, who found it difficult to meet the original deadline because of work pressures caused by the summer holidays, to give them extra time to get their entries in,” said David Catanach, Director of the BSGA, which organises the event.
“We want to make sure that the best work from UK-based signmakers is represented in the awards and by giving an extra week to get the entries in, we hope that this will be achieved.”
The awards are now in their fourth year and are the highest accolade available to British signmakers.
“The BSGA introduced the awards to highlight the creativity and skills that exist in the sign industry and to provide the very best signmakers with tangible recognition for their work.”
A total of 15 awards, representing every facet of signmaking, from landmark architectural signs to creative vehicle wraps and interior décor, will be presented at the gala awards ceremony in Leicester in November.

The full list of awards can be found at:
    http://www.bsga.co.uk

    Entry is free and easy
simply visit http://www.britishsignawards.org and complete the online entry form and is open to all UK-based sign makers.

“We hope that any sign business that has completed work of which it is genuinely proud and has not yet entered will take this extended opportunity to do so,” said David Catanach. “The awards, which are supported by major companies involved in the sign industry, are judged by a panel of experts, independent of the BSGA, and represent the pinnacle of achievement for British signmakers.”
