sign design (led) help?
hi i have been give the job of designing a new sign and i would like to use flat cut or built up letters with l.e.d s
thats not the prob although i will prob ask for help later in design any way how can i show the customer what it will look like in a picture ?
i have sample letters and leds so i can show the how say the letter s will look however not the complete sign
if i have made any sense can some one give me some advice please

You could do it in Photoshop. Add an outer glow to the text.
I often do this for visuals where we do stainless steel or mirror lettering as you can use the photoshop layer styles to give an idea of how it will look.

yep, would do the same autosign…
these sort of visuals are difficult rich, do it like aurosign has said, use chrome/silver fills for text with outer halo glow. not hard to do… having said that, use some past work or pictures of similar to explain this will be how it looks and your just giving a visual. -
thanks guys im not a photoshop man realy but will do my best or i will do a nomal design and show them a builtup letter

Send me the file of the letter layout you want and font and what colour of leds you are going to use and colour of backplate or fascia and I will do one and sent it back to you (or even better send me a digital photo of the premises the sign is going onto and tha above info and I will super impose it onto the shop so you can shoow your customer what it is going to look like when you are finished

adrian what can i say other than thank you so much ,im going to be working on the sign over the next few days when i have a design i would love to take you up on your offer,i was only given the details of this job yesterday
