    Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a good insurance company or broker that really knows the sign industry?

Currently I have the following separate policies:

1). Combined liability – Employers and Public liability
    2). UNIT contents insurance
3). Motor trade policy (road risk only) to allow me to drive customers vehicles to and from the UNIT.

For these 3 policies I currently pay just under 2K a year.

My 3 policies are with different insurers with different renewal dates – it’s bonkers, surely there is a company out there
that can cater for all 3?

In the new year I’m recruiting and possibly buying another van which will then mean more insurance to allow my employee and freelancer/s to drive my vehicles – surely not a fourth policy!!

Help………..I’ve tried Sign Elite but no joy – any other suggestions?

Your help would be very much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Dan

Combined + motor trade policy for less than £2000! :yikes:

I use my mate who runs a brokers, they specialise in commercial insurance, and bizarre insurances (they insure the Referee’s for the FA!). They come out, do a site survey, ask you about your business, what you do and tailor the policy to exactly what you need.

We’ve a combined policy, contents, public and employee liability, we’re also covered if we damage something whilst installing, nice comfort when applying vinyl to a 250k machine :lol1:

    Thanks David,

That’s the kind of company I’m looking for, someone who at least makes the effort to understand what we need
    and can advise accordingly.

We’re in Buckinghamshire so probably a bit far for your mate.

Picked up an old thread that mentioned NFU Mutual – anyone using them?

    Hi Dan

In the past I have used NFU, we had a major flood after a major downpour, water flowing like a waterfall through the 3 phase box & mains cupboard, loads of hand tools ruined. They paid out in no time. They were very good to be fair. Well worth getting them to give you a quote, I found them very reasonable in cost aslo.
