Sorry to hear about your fall, and hope you are on the mend, recently had a similar close call, and wont now use ladders unless the job is a quick job at low level, I favour a scaffold tower and last week purchased a Razor deck, self erect tower which is great for shop signs , lot more room for tools, harder to fall off. I would look at ladder stabilisers systems available are also a great idea, which fit to most extension ladders, takes longer to set up but saves time sitting in A&E.

    Wow Derek!

Think though! It could have been a lot worse
You no longer being able to communicate
Paralysed and in a wheel chair
or just left in a coma

I know its seems a bit morbid but that’s the way I think

    Lucky guy Derek,
I know your pain, i had a cheap Ladder fail on me while on the 6th step , It Hurts!!! I know why people use the expression "A pain in the arse,!!) Broken tail bone and 6 months of Physio and £2K later , nearly the same,

First thing i did was get rid of all the cheap ladders and bought these

    http://www.little-giant.co.uk/little_gi … ck_pro.php

Very Strong , sturdy and have even had a similar incident like your occur while on one and it never moved
    well worth the investment.
