Short term bubble free printable vinyl
Posted by Warren Beard on September 9, 2010 at 5:43 pmOK what I actually mean is a "cheap" bubble free vinyl to print on my Roland. I have a client who wants a large quantity of graphics but want to fit themselves as it is not financially viable for me to travel the UK to apply logos to the doors only. I would like to supply a bubble free graphic for their guys to apply, only needs to last 2-3 years at the most.
Any recommendations or suggestions?
Cheers
Warren

use a repositionable vinyl, it’s very easy to put on, and fairly cheap. also a lot thicker so client won’t balls it up

bubble free and cheap are not 2 words that go together, otherwise most vinyls would have the feature!
When you say doors, do you mean vehicle doors?
if so I would just use a thicker label vinyl laminated, it is easier to fit by joe public, but the alternative would be to supply instructions on how to fit wet….Peter

Thanks Ian and Peter, I think you might have it right, can you recommend any?

Hi Warren, i’ve been using image perfect IP2503PA from spandex its around £200.00 per roll (50m) it prints well and the bubble free works well even with over-laminate
ive attached the data sheet for your reference.

what width is this?

that is not cheap, but depends on the size of the decal you are producing, as to the cost per unit, Metamark mdp 200 is about half the cost but you would still need a laminate as well?

The people who will be fitting the graphics are they vinyl experienced, just asking because if they are not then how will bubble free vinyl cheap or not be an aid to them.
There are plenty of mid term vinyls available now which should all go down very easy if you know what you are doing, I would ask if they know what a squeegee is then decide what vinyl to use 😉

Thanks guys, I think it is easier and cheaper to go with the likes of Metamark MDP as Peter suggests
Thanks guys
