• Shop Shutters Advice

Hi I have a shop shutter to do , it goes down at nights, it is just a replica of the window display but just in black vinyl, its mainly text with one simple logo. Do you have any advice for me, as it is my first time doing a shutter. I’m planning to mould it into the shaped parts and then slice across each section of the shuttering. Is this correct. Also is it better to go straight over and then heat the rest into the recesses, or better to work the vinyl into the recesses as i go. Should I make the design slightly elongated to adjust for going into the recesses, they are quite shapely recesses too. Many Thanks in advance for your help. Matt

hi mate i have done a few of these shutter and have a 6 meter one on next week
i apply the vinyl as if it were flat then remove application tape i then heat each part to follow the curve of the shutter profile ten i cut a mill either side of the shutter joint takes a bit longer but you will not be called back after a time with problems of the vinyl coming out where the shutter slat meets the above and below slat

after this i check and then double check i have made all the right cut or it will make a real mess when you put the shutter up

    then re heat all vinyl
    job done
