Shop Fascia Sign : Jaspers
Do you remember the sign i did a few months ago for Kupa Kupa, with the butterfly on the front? well unfortunately they have closed but the couple moving into to the shop asked me to do their sign too, they are going to be doing designer stuff, you know fifty quid for a t-shirt that says FCUK or something 😆 anyroad this is it tha’ knows (ere I’ve gone all yorkie!!).

Yus mate and the letters were spray painted with high-build car primer then the red is a truck paint that I sprayed also, luverly and shiny like plastic. 🙂

both Pete, having funs OK but the moneys better 😆 fixed through from behind, the letters are 18mm thick, 4mm spacer and the boards 9mm thick, so thats ermmm hold on ……………….. 31mm phew crap at maths 😆 I use 25mm screws, easy.
I charged £450 plus for this sign, total time about 8 hours spread over 5 days, allowing drying time for paint etc, material costs less than £50 -
Nice work steve, did you apply this to mdf or foam pvc then screw to the existing facia??

Ta Lorraine, the only thing existing is a fascia with the architrave around, The panel with the lettering on is mine.

What i mean steve is, in the second picture i can see screw caps, and you say the lettering is fixed on from behind, so you must have screwed the lettering into the back board then screwed this to the existing facia – right??
If so is the back board that you screwed the letters to mdf or foam pvc?
Actually i don’t why i’m asking, were talking Steve Broughton, of course it has to be mdf/medite 😆

works well.. nice one 😉constructive critisism… well maybe more a self preference mate.. but ide maybe have made the shadow a lighter great.. maybe even off-white.. 🙄

Thanks Jill, those “witchy circles” are called “Bullseyes” and you can buy them from any decent glazier in this country, I’ve one in the stable door in my kitchen.
Rob the grey is actually a lot lighter than it shows, might have been due to the fact that it was really overcast and I had to muck about with the exposure to get a decent pic without flash. -

Spraying the letters is the way I want to go. I have to hand paint all my letters. Prime, undercoat then gloss. Fiddly job.
Much better finish and better protection with spraying
So one day I’m going to treat myself to a spray kitOh! What is that little badge in the corner of the sign 😀
