Setting page size in corel 8
Posted by John Gregson on December 5, 2009 at 3:29 pmHi All,
I’m setting up an old coreldraw8 on an old xp computer and for the kids to play with and for the life of me can’t remember how to set the page size as A4. It opens as letter at the moment – I’ve tried tools options and changed it this way but as soon as its closed down and re-opened it reverts back to Letter size.Cheers John

Hi Lynn, Letter size is american size and slightly bigger than A4. I’ve change this setting before but cannot remember how I did it.

sorry John don’t know corel, but i’m sure someone will be around soon that does 😀

Hi Stevo/Harry, Both those change the page size but don’t save it so next time you open corel it goes back to letter size. Not a problem, just would make things easier if it opened an A4 page instead of letter.

Sorry John, don’t know how to do that. You’ll have to go round to Mr. Drury’s house! 😀

Try setting the page size to A4. Then go to the Tools menu, click on save settings as default. Next time you open a new file it should have remembered the A4 setting. :lol1:

John, open Corel and open a new page. On the top menu go to Tools; Options; Document; Page; Size whatever you set here will be the default page size.

For V8. Set up blank document with all the settings you want as default.
Tools – Options – Document – select ‘Save options as defaults for new documents’
This is streamlined in later versions ‘Save settings as default’ being under the tools tab
