Service call 0110 on Cadet sp540
Does anyone know what this error message is for , it started popping up when I tried to pause the cut to laminate and then cut

Someone told me it was to do with the scan motor. I was told to turn it on and off and it will be OK but if the problem keeps occurring then to get and engineer to look at it.

0110 means Linear Encoder Error. Try cleaning the encoder strip.

Also make sure the encoder strip isn’t touching the reader anywhere as it travels along…had the same issue this week – changed the strip…printed perfectly for about three metres, the did a bit of staircasing…so I stopped the machine. When I started it #@%!!! .. same error. Got out the Grandad glasses & torch and noticed that the strip appeared to touch in just one place…adjusted the reader and shes my little darling again!!
And, make sure that the capping station is back in place..often that error message comes between the capping station lowering and the pump doing its little suck…so if the pump didn’t get to do its thing, then the capping station will still be in the lowered position.
