Seen your first Christmas tree yet?
Posted by John & Dawn Roddick on November 7, 2007 at 10:26 pmI saw my first in a house tonight which apparently was put up on Sunday (the tree not the house) – lights, hanging stuff, the full works.
What is wrong with these people???

Saw some on Sunday, a house fully decorated and lit up in the afternoon.
Yard full of plastic fantastic, sleigh set, inflatable animated snow globe etc etc.
This was right beside a house with a yard full of Halloween crap, including rotting pumpkins.

Call me grumpy if you want BUT…
I never put my tree up until at least 20th December.
Last year the kids persuaded me to put some lights outside the house, which were put up the nearly the same day. (21st). I love Christmas, but, it all starts happening far to quick and early. All that goes on in my mind is…How do I get all my work done before the schools finish and I finish to look after them, hence no Xmas decorations!! (for a while)
I am obviously a bad Father 🙂
When I finally finish for the holiday I then relax and become far less grumpy (so I have been told by my children)
All this fuss over a man that comes down your chimney, and empties his sacks in your living room.

I deliberately put my Christmas tree up early just to upset the neighbours .
I hate christmas, but love upsetting my neighbours 😕

Do you ever take it down???
That would really piss me off

Is that Disney USA Cheryl, or Paris?
USA is probably cheaper though with the ex rate.

We don’t take our tree down all year. We drag it and cover it with a sheet. Come Xmas time drag it out again take off the sheet and were done 🙂

When Emily was young I used to put up the xmas tree up within the first few days of december. Now it’s up at the most 2 weeks before xmas and usually always down before 1st January!

Disneyland Paris Peter, just managed to squeeze in, I was doing some work for a travel agent and he’s got a friend who works there who could get us in. Got a tax rebate, decided to blow the lot on my kid….oh and me!! lol
