  • Seeking advice for printing Fine Art / Stretched Canvas

Hi Guys, Can anyone offer me some advice with regards to what settings / profile to use when printing onto fine art canvas? Its not a thing we print a lot of, but anytime we do 2 of our graphic designers always complain the colours aren’t correct. They look fine to the untrained eye but both these guys are also skilled photographers so are certain they know how their images should look. We’re printing them on our Roland EJ640 but even versaworks (dual) hasn’t a default canvas profile included. We’ve tried Rolands website to download profiles but they’ve virtually none for the EJ640 7 colour.

Any advice greatly appreciated as always.

    Many Thanks
    Davy

    Davy,

Have you tried All Print Supplies? They supply a canvas for printing and I think they also have a library of profiles, although I have no idea to which machines they will be suited. Hexis also do canvases for printing and they may also have a profile library.

Cheers Steven, I’ll give them a try, hopefully they’ll have a profile to suit a EJ640. Waiting to hear from Roland to see if they can give me any suitable profiles as well 🙂

We always use TEXTILE HEAT TRANSFER for our canvasses with our Roland SP540V and the results are excellent.

Brilliant. :claps: :claps: Thank you Simon. Flat out printing thousands of Christmas cards so haven’t time at the moment to test the profile. Sounds very promising especially after hearing what Jamie "steal the thread" hunt said lol. This bit of info could be our saving grace 🙂 Thought we were going to have to buy ink and bring our old HP wide format out of retirement.
