Hey ho, just a query at the moment but it might turn into more later on down the line.

Im really after some info on the cost of screen printing t-shirts. I am using Hotmark right now, which is excellent. But if producing for bulk its not just time consuming but the production costs dont really reduce that much.

Anyway, if anyone has some experience of pricing/quality I would appreciate it.

    You need more equipment.
printer, dryer, wash out booth, screens, ink, chemicals, spot dryer, etc etc.

unless you`ve got a really large garage/premises you`ll struddle to get the equipment in.

Red devil (find him on ebay) sells some stuff, it`ll give you an idea of what is required. Becarefull of buying really cheap stuff, its just not up to the job.

Oops didn’t make myself clear there, I meant outsourcing the work to a screen printing company.
Only problem I have with that is they may have minimum order sizes.

Dunno, just thinking out loud really.

    ding a ling.

Being a screen printer myself, we have a minimum job of £20 profit.

Screen printing a few at a time isn`t really on, as most jobs will take a couple of mins to set up, dryer to get to the right temp etc…

i wouldn`t make a screen for small orders, thats why we also have the cad cut material & heatpress.

The only way it`ll work out for you, if you are prepared to hold some stock…. possible 12 of the same design …

Righto, thanks for the advice on that. It cleared up a few things for me.

    Cheers!
