Fantastic sport, havent been in a glider since I went solo at 16 (glider made from wood and fabric). I have done plenty of paragliding since though. There has to be something said for "Natural" sports i.e. no engines…….
For those who have not done it, its not that expensive to try

Hi Chris
As someone who lives just 4 miles east of Portmoak in Glenrothes can I say what a brilliant video of the area. I know it well and have climbed the Bishop Hill many times and have visited Loch Leven frequently and been on the island many a time.
Is the gliding just as good as it was a few years ago before the CAA put in place all their restrictions. I remember the outcry when it was in all the papers.
The best bit about Portmoak is watching the reactions of people who have never been there before and you are driving past and you get buzzed by a glider coming into land, brilliant!Mike

Great stuff Chris, have to be honest this is one of the things I always meant to have a go at and never got round to.
Oh you can nearly see my house from one of those pictures :lol1:
If I had known you were up here I would have popped by and said hello.
