    Hi all,
Got a customer who has given me a colour photocopy of a club badge he wants put onto vinyl. Now when i scan the image into signlab (spandex thermal edition) is there a way to change the colours to spot instead of the process colours that are present. I have a clean cut line around the image just wanna change colours to spot.

    Dave

i dont have signlab v7 or an edge mate.. but i am guessing what you would need to do that is a vector file like you would use in a cutter.
that way you could select each colour and change to suit.
i would imagine a bitmap/jpg file although solid colours would pixelate at the edges giving different shades to the colour calling for a 4 colour process.

like i said, i could be wrong mate.. im hopless at explain this type of thing.. 😕 :lol1:

Would it be possible to scan it as a vector and the assign spot colours? You would probably need to do a bit of node editing!

Watched the tutorial thats included with the software, After being told where to find it) posterised the image, traced it, a little colour editing and then cleaned up the nodes on a few things. End result was very good, And it was a lot easier than in Corel!
I still got a lot to learn !!!!!!
