  • Scam- Enquiry for banners with 0703 contact number.

Just thought Id mention this one.
We got an enquiry in the last few days for some banners, but the customer didnt leave any contact details except a mobile phone number. Ive pasted it below taking out the persons name, tel num & banner text details (just in case this is a genuine customer…)
    BUT…
After googling the telephone number I found out that 0703 are premium rate personal phone numbers… Seems a bit like this person was expecting us to call his mobile and then we would be charged at 45 – 50p/min…

    Hello.

My name is Mr XXXX XXXXX and i would like to make some inquiries on some
    banners.I need a 6ft x 3ft Banner – Two colour Printed banner with UV
solvent inks on 510gsm pvc banner material, then hemmed and eyleted at 500mm
    spaces.

    (XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX) ( RED )
    (XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX). ( BLACK )

Above is what i need and i want to you to get back to me with the cost of
this banner which would have grommets and also include tax since i don’t
have a tax exempt now. I wouldn’t need any artwork. kindly advise on if
you accept Credit Card as a form of payment for such order. Kindly advise

    Was the copy
    SAVE THE CHILDREN
or some other sort of religious/charity theme?
    It’s a scam.
Sometimes they just ask for blank banners.
