    Evening folks.

We’ve just done 2 lorries. One was done 2 weeks ago, one done today. The print file is effectively the same. They were both printed on the same machine, from the same file, on the same media, with the same laminate, with same media profile.. yet I have 2 different colours spacemen? Both are still white. But the colour is enough for the customer to notice.. where did I go wrong?

Have you changed inks in between times or even replaced an empty cartridge with the same brand of ink?

    Welcome to digital printing. :smiles:

May have been down to different atmospheric conditions, i.e. last week warm and humid compared to when you printed the latest stuff.

I thought it might be pot luck…

But yea we did replace both yellows just the other day. Still eco 3 genuine though 🙁

Least customer is happy for it to stay on.

For years I always pondered why EVERY sign company I ever outsourced my printing to always had some issue or other regards colour matching & also repeat print colour matching!! Having got my own printer nearly a year ago now I have learnt a little that it’s a mine field of complexity that the more you look into, the deeper & more complex it becomes!!
Just when you think you have it understood & cracked, something else will intervene & throw it off in a seemingly endless cycle.
Fortunately 90% of the time it’s not an issue, but the 10% that it is will break your heart!!
