My best sales gimmick is the number plate i purchased at the
    DVLA cherised auction
A151 GNS it gets lots of people looking and has paid for itself many times
over the last 12 months i have owned it..

Hey Adrian – I almost have the same number as you.

I have RI5GNS and RISGN on van and car. Like you say – a good advert

Nice plates lads – but beware!
The police are targetting illegally spaced plates – I’ve just paid the 35 pound fine i got for “fraudulent display of a vehicle registration mark”.
They’re obviously too busy to catch criminals with all the motorists (soft targets) on the roads!
    Cheers

Don’t ever drive your motors into Befordshire, it’ll be an instant on the spot fine!

i was in Luton on Monday no problems, at least one trip up the M3 and M25 every other week, speeding tickets thats all…….
my neighbour is a senior road traffic officer and he tells me that he cannot
see any problem as i have not altered any characters
At the auction S1GNS sold for over £30,000 so if the DVLA advertised this in all the papers together with my number, as A1 51GNS i think i have a leg to stand on in court and i would fight it to the end….

They done the same to people coming North to Peterborough as well mate, fortunately I am very boring & have a horrible large plate & a standard exhaust. They did nick hundreds though 👿

nice bike mike, i stick to the slower bikes, i once had a Yamaha Thundercat 1100 as a loaner from the bike shop while mine was in for a week getting fixed….. i took it back after two days, and the guy asked what was wrong with it, and i told him it was too bloody fast and that if i had it another 2 days id be dead!!

You should go speeding in london, some of the police down there arnt that sharp!! the day after i got my virago i broke the numberplate so i poped into the shop in hendon and asked for another which they did there and then!!

the only problem was that the registation of my bike ended in LLA and the new plate they made me ended in LAA, i must have been stopped maybe 20+ times in and around london for various things.. usually coz the plods were board and it took them 9 months for a plod to mention that my registration number didnt exist (which may i ad i didnt realise) !! ooopppps !!

    rosemary,

an “anorak” is a waterproof jacket! and we use this term if someone knows too much about a topic, so for example steve knows loads about motor bikes so he’s a “bike anorak”

    catch my drift?
